About flasking...
We have capabilities to flask common orchid genera, and are happy to discuss flasking for more obscure plants. We are continuously exploring a variety of flasking media to maximize the germination rates for orchid seeds.
All flasked seedlings produced by Freikugel Orchids remain the property of the client. Unless other arrangements are made, excess seedlings not included in purchased flasks will be destroyed. Excess seed will be stored for up to two years from the date of receipt.

Flasking Prices
Flasking into Slant Vial
A small amount of seed will be flasked into a 30mL slant vial. This is a cost-effective option to test seeds for viability before using large amounts of seed.
$10 per flask
Mother Flask Preparation
2-3 mother flasks will be prepared from a single seed pod. Enough seed will be sown in an effort to provide 3 daughter flasks.
$20 per pod
Daughter Flask Preparation
Mother flasks will be divided into daughter flasks of approx. 15-20 plants each. Once mature, the seedlings can be de-flasked and potted into community pots.
$20 per flask
Community Pot
Mature seedlings will be removed from daughter flasks and potted into community pots to ship. Seedlings will be acclimated to a non-sterile environment before shipping.
